Head of Maths

Rodillian Academy seeks to appoint an inspiring and ambitious Head of Maths to lead our effective and dedicated team. The successful candidate will have an outstanding teaching ability, the skills to motivate and engage students, and a relentless ambition to enrich the lives and learning experiences of our young people.

As Head of Maths you will:

·      Lead the skilled and dedicated Maths department, offering guidance, support and examples of inspirational practice to colleagues.

·      Raise standards of student engagement, attainment and achievement in Maths

·      Effectively evaluate the Maths curriculum and strategically plan for its future development in-line with the Trust’s vision.

We want our staff to develop their pedagogy in a way that fits their own skills and expertise to benefit their students, but which is rooted in what we know impacts learning. We do not have a prescribed format for lessons but use a range of proven strategies to accelerate progress. Teachers make their own judgments about how to engage their students and how to deliver and embed content, while following the department curriculum.
